Will Stewart, writing in the March 30, 2015 edition of London’s, TheDailyMailOnline, writes that “extraordinary bugged calls between separatists that suggests Malaysian Flight MH-17 was shot down [July 17, 2014] by a Russian-made missile over Ukraine,” according to information revealed by investigators.”  Mr. Stewart writes that, “the intercepted calls strongly suggests a Russian military crew was accompanying a BUK missile — smuggled into Ukraine shortly before the Boeing 777 was shot out of the sky.”  These same intercepted calls, according to Mr. Stewart, “indicate that the weapon system was smuggled back over the border to Russia afterwards.”

TheDailyMailOnline reports the revelations came as the Dutch-led, Joint Investigation Team (JIT), probing the downing of the aircraft, “called for witnesses who can tell more about the transport, crew, and launch of a BUK rocket in the area….in the days before, and after the crash.  Their appeal included the release of a video, depicting a BUK weapon system being transported on a flat-bed truck; and, audio recordings of the intercepted telephone conversations, which was aired on Ukrainian television and radio — and, posted to websites and social media.  The intercepted phone call is “between two separatists, on July 17 [the day of the shoot-down] — at, 0908 am — in which ‘they’ discussed the transportation of a BUK missile system to Donetsk,” and the accompanying of a crew to man the anti-aircraft missile system.  The MH-17 downing occurred at 4:20pm in the late afternoon

I wish the Dutch-led investigation team lots of luck, because they will need it  Vladimir Putin no doubt has lots of undercover operatives, as well as sympathizers in eastern Ukraine doing his bidding.  They will no doubt attempt to threaten witnesses, or at least make it known that talking to the Dutch-led team would not be in their best interests.  This isn’t going to be an easy thing for a witness to do — even under the best of circumstances; and, the passage of time will also no doubt be used by ‘the defense,’ to impeach the witness/s recollection of what they actually saw and heard.  And, there was much, credible reporting in the immediate aftermath of the downing, of Russian soldiers and/or Russian-backed separatists hindering investigators from reaching the crash site, interviewing witnesses, and collecting critical evidence.  This will be a steep uphill task for the Dutch-led team.  V/R
